A purpose designed 2 person bivvy! The geodisic 4 cross pole design offers excellent rigidity whilst giving extra height. The elongated floor plan allows 2 Bedchairs to be side by side making it easy for either angler to exit the bivvy. The extended porch with groundsheet provides the room to store loads of kit. Ventilation on large 2 person bivvies is paramount so we've incorporated mosquito panels on the porch sides and internal doors. I have used this bivvy now extensively, in all weather conditions from boiling hot, to freezing cold to absolutely pouring with rain. Under all circumstances it has performed pretty much without fault. Its even kid proof, and that is saying something!!! Its relatively easy to put up, I can manage it on my own, with masses of space for everything I take on a trip, which seems to be everything but the proverbial kitchen sink!!
Inside its spacious and airy, the groundsheet is well fitted and the porch and doors touch, and all fold away nice and neatly.
In the cold it keep the heat in well, even when its just me, conversely in the heat it remains fairly cool with just the mesh "mozzie" doors zipped across.
My only critcisms would that its very heavy, is an absolute bugger to get back in the bag! Also as with most bivvy's i have seen the pegs are pretty rubbish, slighty hard ground and they tend to bend fairly easily.
I highly recommend this bit of kit, itss performs well, and is available now at more than half price, a definate bargain. |
